The Environmental Monitoring Project (PMA) performs the annual assessment of the quality of the water around the production unit, through monitoring campaigns.

These analyses are performed by collecting seawater samples for study in an onshore laboratory, thereby enabling the monitoring of possible changes in the environment. In the laboratory, the parameters analyzed include:

• Metals present in the water;
• Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen;
• Hydrocarbons present in the water; and
• Plankton, among other things.
