Open-air cinema, storytelling, musical presentations, video and photography workshops and even an exhibition with replicas of works by the artist Cândido Portinari. During Children’s Week, October 9th to 15th, Enauta will promote the “Nosso Mundo (Our World)” Festival, with a free socio-cultural and environmental program aimed at children, at Praça do Rádio Amador, in Niterói.

In its first edition, this event will feature nine projects, showcasing film screenings, debates, workshops, musical performances and storytelling. The projects are: Young Concertante Academy, Cinema in the public square, Green 60, Images in Movement, the book “Brasil – Uma História do Amanhã” (Brazil – A History of Tomorrow), Brazil Ocean, the Museum of Life, the Grael Project and the Portinari Project.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Green60 project, which – in addition to presenting films and holding debates – will award prizes for the best one-minute films produced using a mobile phone. The winning film will be decided by popular vote.

Still keeping an eye on the screens, the people who attend the festival will be able to watch the outdoor screening of 16 films, under the “Cine na Praça” (Cinema in the public square). Conceived in 2012, the project will participate in the festival with cinematographic works about inclusion, diversity and the environment.

The “Nosso Mundo” Festival will also have educational activities – with video, photography and scriptwriting workshops – for high school students. The mini-courses are free, but there will be a limit of 120 places. In these classes, young people will learn everything from basic photographic concepts to the steps of producing a video.

Enauta’s history is one of pioneering and social and environmental responsibility. The idea is that the “Nosso Mundo” Festival helps to connect people with the Sustainable Development Goals, through cultural programs that are diverse and innovative, as well as a lot of fun. Throughout the week, we will have countless free activities for the whole family.
